ABOUT
Objective: Choose a country to create both a logo & a promotional travel site that includes everything from unique activities to top accommodations.
Approach: After researching the country of choice & using wireframes to develop an overall layout, I used CSS & HTML code in DreamWeaver to create a promotional travel site for Morocco.

Goals
Morocco currently has a travel website, but it is quite outdated & doesn’t capture the vibrancy of the country! My overall goal with this project was to create a user-friendly & lively website for Morocco with beautiful photos, unique typefaces, and modernized web design layouts.
I learned a lot about coding during the Franklin Juice Co. website, but I was still limited in my design. However, I wanted to fulfill my vision, so I watched hours worth of tutorials, & took advantage of all of the resources available to me!

Challenges
Like I mentioned earlier, this was only my second time coding. Though I faced a lot of the same challenges I had during my first time using CSS and HTML, I was able to work at a much faster pace. Things began to make more sense, & I was able to push my design even further!
Surprisingly, there is a lot of math involved in coding… not my strong suit. As you can see, there are a lot of instances throughout the website where I have a gridded layout. This was one of my biggest challenges. Of course, making all of the buttons work & certain elements being able to hover was also quite a challenge for me.

Takeaways
In terms of academics, this project taught me the basics of Web Design & how to code. However, in terms of life, I learned much more than that. I learned not to underestimate myself. The second I realized that the Web Design course I was enrolled in was all coding, I was tempted to drop it because I told myself I would never understand it.
However, I forced myself to give it a shot. I was constantly asking questions in class, scheduling meeting times with my professor, & extending my knowledge through YouTube and W3Schools.com. In the end, I fell in love with the challenge & was proud of myself for trying out something new.
